Timber Pest (Termite) Inspections for Homeowners & Rental Properties and Pre Purchasers & Vendors are all carried out in accordance with the current applicable Australian Standard(s).
A Tramex Encounter Plus Moisture Meter is used during the Inspection to detect areas of High Moisture behind the walls. Any suspect areas of high moisture are checked for Termite Activity with a Termatrac T3i. A more invasive inspection using a Borescope may be required if movement is detected, subject to Owner’s permission.
While these & other Inspection Tools are incorporated in our Inspections, they are No substitute for the Skill of the well-trained Eyes, Ears and Experience of our qualified and experienced Pest Managers, Colin & Ben Taylor.
The Best available non-intrusive Termite Inspection device Comprising of a Termite Detection Radar, Remote Thermal Sensor and Moisture Sensor, coupled with Data Storage, Analysis and Presentation, the Termatrac T3i is the most advanced device in the world developed purely to detect, confirm, and track the presence of termites.
Following the Inspection, a comprehensive typed and photographic Report of the findings is emailed or posted to you. Where necessary a written Subterranean Termite Management Proposal with treatment requirement recommendations and costs is supplied with Report.
The Inspection is performed by Colin & or Ben Taylor, owners of TC’s Pest & Termite Management. If you are able to join Colin or Ben at the Inspection you will visually & verbally gain an informative understanding about Termites and what you can do to reduce the risk of a Termite attack. If you are unable to attend the Inspection, once you have read the inspection report, we are available to discuss the report findings and answer any queries you may have.

An Inspection Agreement is required prior to the Timber Pest (Termite) Inspection being carried out. The Agreement outlines the scope and limitation of the Timber Pest (Termite) Inspection. The Inspection Agreement is required for all Pre-Purchase Inspections and Timber Pest (Termite) Inspections for new Clients that we have not previously carried out a Timber Pest (Termite) Inspection for.

1. The Purchase of your home is one of your most Costly & Important Assets.
PRIOR TO SIGNING YOUR PURCHASE CONTRACT MAKE SURE THAT: the Contract Does Not Limit Your Rights regarding Termite Issues.
We have been advised that there are some Purchase Contracts &/ Contracts with an added Annexure that have had limitations placed in them which only allow you to void or vary the Contract if Live Termites are present in the building.
Where a Contract has Limitations on Termite issues that may be discovered during a Pest Inspection such as:
- Extensive Termite Damage &/
- No evidence of Termite treatments &/
- Expired Building Perimeter treatments &/
- Property/Building Conditions that are Conducive to Termite attack &/
- Properties that have Live Termites in the grounds/fences,
You may Not be able to Void the Contract or make a reduced offer on the home to cover the Termite Rectification costs. Do not get caught out, seek legal advice from your Solicitor prior to signing contract.
2. BE AWARE: You are not limited to Pest Inspectors specified or recommended by the Selling Real Estate Agent or the Homeowner who may have Affiliations with them.
The Real Estate Agent &/ Homeowner have one main aim, the Selling of the Property at the best price they can get for it, this is their Interest priority.
3. WE ARE AN INDEPENDENT TIMBER PEST INSPECTION (TERMITE) SPECIALIST, and we are working for you with YOUR INTERESTS AS OUR PRIORITY. We want to make sure you know what you are buying.
